Kurtis Matthew Russell – Epidemic of Loneliness
Kurtis Matthew Russell aka Kurbo De Luxe aka The Insufferable Kurly Fry aka K-Swizzle aka Kurtmit the Frog (he/they) is a filmmaker, writer, actor, comedian, and experimental artist of unknown geographic origin, often located in Portland, Oregon. He is concerned with all things strange, subversive, and sentimental.
“Epidemic of Loneliness” consists of three 20-minute episodes of an unfinished series commissioned by the now-defunct Corporation for Public Broadcasting, examining how and why people fail to make meaningful connections in the early 21st century. Hosted by amateur filmmaker Kurtis Matthew Russell who was given a budget of 5 dollars. The program will also include Russell’s 5-minute short “On What Continent is the Country Amnesia?”
