Birds! Birds! Birds! Short Films and Videos Curated by Filmmaker Andrew Hinton

(Note this screening starts earlier than usual – 5:00pm)

Join us for a night of curated film and video work presented by documentary filmmaker Andrew Hinton.  This is a bit of a fun throwback for us because Andrew put on themed nights like this twice in Boathouse Microcinema’s pre-pandemic days and both were a ton of fun.  Andrew’s programs tend to pull from unexpected places thanks to his wealth of film knowledge.  This program revolves around birds, which is a simple but complex topic.  Will the program lean Hitchcockian, Looney Tunesian, or Brandon Leeian?  Or Audubonian?  Find out on Sunday!

Andrew Hinton is an Emmy-winning filmmaker based in Portland, Oregon, originally from the United Kingdom.  He has worked with clients such as The Economist, CNBC, and PBS.  He has spent much time traveling as part of his filmmaking, often to India, where he immersed himself in the culture.  His film Tashi and The Monk about an orphaned 5-year old rescued by a Buddhist monk exemplifies the subjects he cares most about – compassion, communication, and connection.
